About Gbese Aboriginal Council of Osudoku

Our Mandate

- In addition to the Main mandates registered in accordance with the requirements of the companies act 1963 (act 179) which are;

A. UNIFYING THE NATIVE CLANS OF OSUDOKU TO BRING DEVELOPMENT AND STABILITY TO OSUDOKU.

B. TO SEEK LEGAL REDRESS AND JUSTICE FOR THE ABORIGINAL NATIVES, the Gbese Aboriginal Council shall be charged with the following mandates;

22.1  To set up an unbiased committee made up of elders and kingmakers from the six tribes to immediately seek and resolve all disputes among members, families and tribes of the Gbese Aboriginal Clans.

22.2  To seek the reformation of the Ablao Nadu shrine and seek the institution of the original Judaism Worship which is believed to be the true Nadu worship.

22.3  To seek and use all legal means to reclaim the Gbese Aboriginal inherent right of headship and Paramountcy in the Osudoku Traditional area as in the days of the founding fathers of Osudoku.

22.4  To formulate and present a proposed constitution for the Osudoku Traditional Council aimed at unifying the various clans of Osudoku and bringing probity, accountability, Unity and dignity to the Traditional Council and Osudoku as a whole.

22.5  To endeavor to provide for the Gbese Aboriginal Council, a proper and modernized meeting place.

22.6  To setup a modernized library of History for the People of Osudoku

22.7      To decide on the logo for an official seal to be used by the Council at all times on important documents.

22.8      To seek all legal avenues to challenge the appointment of illegitimate chiefs and officials to the Osudoku Traditional Council.

22.9      To provide and document a new order for the election and installation of Chiefs of Osudoku.

22.10   To seek the cancellation of the Harper report of 1913 which was prejudiced before its first sitting and all other documents which were based on lies told by ignorant and dishonest individuals during the Colonial era.

 

22.11   To present the true history of the People of Osudoku as known among the Aboriginal tribes of Osudoku and seek to have it recognized.

22.12   To reform and reinstate some of the customs and Tradition of Osudoku which has been lost or adulterated with unwanted practices example the Dipo Custom.

22.13   To revisit the Osudoku Djehayem festival (Wor domi) and come up with a modernized and acceptable way of celebrating the festival for the people of Osudoku.

22.14   To use all legal means to recover lost properties belonging to the Aboriginal Gbese tribes and families.

22.15    To find ways to incorporate the refugee tribes in the new Order of leadership pursued by the Gbese Aboriginal Council of Osudoku.

22.16    To set up a strong and unbiased Committee to purposely deal with land litigations among the various clans of Osudoku and also seek the demarcation of land boundaries with the Osudoku Neighbors and also among the various clans, families and citizens of Osudoku.

22.17   To seek and demarcate a new development and cadastral plan of the Osudoku capital

22.18   To determine Standing Orders which shall govern the proceedings of the Council and which shall be approved by the General Council.
